Melvin W Distler

Melvin W. Distler passed away Tuesday May 16, 2023. Age 86. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. he was a long-time south jersey resident. He worked as a truck driver for C. Abbonizio Contractors in Deptford Twp. for most of his life and also drove for 7-Up. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus # 5714 in Maple Shade for many years and enjoyed bowling and model trains. He is predeceased by his wife Dolores M. (nee Schmidt). Surviving are his 2 daughters Rona (Robert) Kerbaugh , Theresa (William) Lenox and a son Bryan (Francyne) Distler. 3 grandchildren Darin, Brandon, Mary Elizabeth. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday May 23, 2023 11AM at the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Anthony Church 285 Rt 206 Hammonton, NJ. A Viewing will be held 10 -11 AM prior to mass at the church. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
