Florence Etherington, nee Losse, of Pennsauken, New Jersey passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at her home. Age 96, born in Hammonton, New Jersey June 17, 1925, to William and Viola Losse. Florence worked as an operator for New Jersey Bell and then moved to California in 1948 where she worked as a telephone operator in Pasadena. Then moved to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, where she worked as a PBX operator at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. She moved back to Hammonton where she worked at Whitehall Labs in Hammonton until retirement. She married Thomas Etherington in 1972. She is survived by her husband Thomas, her daughter Denise (Jeff) , grandchildren Daniel (Kelly) Pacholski, twin granddaughters Alexa Patel (Roshan), and Erika Arruda (Bryce), four great grandchildren Callie Pacholski, Kamran Patel, Emersyn and Lara Arruda, a sister Erma Woodman, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers David and Nelson, and four sisters, Lillian, Ida, Doris, and Hazel. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 AM Saturday November 27 at the First United Methodist Church in Hammonton, with family visitation beginning at 10:30AM.
